Founded in 1972, the Keowee Sailing Club is a self-help sailing club with over 200 members that share in maintaining the facilities. Through races, pleasure cruises, skill building, and social events members are able to share in the joy of sailing on beautiful Lake Keowee. The Keowee Sailing Club hosts races throughout the year, including the “Grits & Haggis Regatta” and the “Bare What You Dare Race” in early June, as well as summer camps for kids and workshops for newcomers.
